Puncak is a resort district located in the mountains, between Bandung and Bogor. With its high elevation, domestic and international visitors come here for its cool, fresh air and breath-taking views. Most Puncak attractions revolve around the diverse flora and fauna.
Unlike nearby day-trip destinations like Lembang and Ciwidey, many visitors to Puncak would usually stay over for a night.
What to see in Puncak
Indonesia Safari Park
Built in 1980, this 170-hectare Safari Park in Cisarua, Bogor, is Indonesia’s very first Safari park. The main attraction of this park is the safari-like journey where you and your family could see and feed the free-roaming animals from the comfort of your vehicle. You would also be able to see the various animal performances, go on animal rides, and explore the theme park.

Gunung Mas Tea Plantation
Gunung Mas Tea Plantation is all about agricultural tourism. By visiting this plantation, not only would you be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery but also learn about the complete tea-making process. The whole process starts from the picking of leaves, to the factory production, packaging, and right to the final cup of tea to drink.
How to go to Puncak
Due to the distance and nature of the journey, we wouldn’t recommend for you to take the public bus or taxi from Bandung to Puncak. Here are our recommendations:
- Private Vehicle - Hire a private transportation with driver either for a 1-way trip from Bandung to Puncak or a return trip.
- Private Tour - I'm sure you are not going to Bandung and West Java just to visit Puncak. You could visit the attractions in Lembang (Tangkuban Perahu Volcano, Ciater Hot Spring, Maribaya Waterfall), Puncak (Safari Park), Ciwidey (White Crater, Patenggang Lake), and Bandung (Trans Studio, Braga Street, House of Anglung).
Consider booking our service for a convenient, comprehensive, and competitively-priced tour. We will plan the itinerary, activities, routes, accommodation, meals, and everything else.
